will & cara smith

Will and Cara Smith are both from Kentucky and attended the University of Louisville.  The couple met at U of L where Will flourished as a catcher for the Cardinals. Cara graduated with a degree in education and started her career as a primary school educator. 

Will was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first round of the 
2016 MLB draft. He quickly ascended through their minor league system and was promoted to 
the Major League roster on May 28, 2019. In 2020, Will became a world champion with the 
Dodgers defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in six games. Will and Cara married in 2020. Shortly 
thereafter they founded the Catching Hope Foundation in 2021.
